I work sporadically on other projects in addition to my abstract paintings. I do this for numerous reasons, including skills practice. I enjoy watercolor and pen and ink and have considered this to be my signature medium for most of my adult life. I recently was re-introduced to soft pastel and loved it. And, I am enjoying my new found passion for acrylic paint, so I’m working on still life studies when the mood strikes.

I have a collection of digital illustrations from my advertising agency days. The splashy style I used during that phase was very popular with clients, and many of the designs were used across the country for many years.

The result is an eclectic blend of styles that all carry my casual style, handwriting and sense of drama. This is the laboratory, the abstract realm is the playground. They are equally compelling to me.
